Steven Sarabia is an American journalist who currently works as a reporter for FOX 7 News. Sarabia is from Georgetown, Texas, United States of America. About his education, he attended Georgetown High School. He later joined Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas where he majored in broadcast journalism. Steven is super excited to be back in central Texas, a place he’s always called home.
In addition, before leaving Sam Houston State University, Sarabia won first place in live reporting from the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association in 2014.
Steven began his career as a reporter on Grand Island, Nebraska, before moving to the Texas Rio Grande Valley to report along the US-Mexico border. While at the border, he covered drug trafficking, illegal border crossings, cartel violence, bad weather, as well as human trafficking. Additionally, his ongoing coverage of severe flooding earned him FEMA national recognition in 2016. Likewise, he covered the devastation of Hurricane Harvey along the Gulf of Texas in 2017.
