Nicea DeGering is an Emmy-winning American journalist who currently works for ABC4 as a reporter, anchor, and presenter. She began working for the station in 1995. DeGering currently hosts the morning entertainment/lifestyle show Good Things Utah and headlines ABC4’s Midday & CW30.
Nicaea enrolled in Brigham Young University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast and Journalism Communications. DeGering joined ABC4 as a Crime Reporter at age 23. She covered the police response to the Salt Lake City tornado, security at the 2002 Winter Olympics, and Elizabeth Smart’s disappearance a few years later.
Nicea also broadcast a unique report on the gang’s move from the city of Las Vegas to the state of Utah. She brought Watcher to FBI headquarters in Quantico, Virginia. DeGering was also the morning anchor for ABC4 Weekend News and AM Express.
