Hallie Jackson is an American journalist who currently serves as the White House Chief Correspondent for NBC News since 2017. In addition, she also works as an anchor for MSNBC, a cable division of NBC News. Furthermore, Jackson also serves as the news anchor, morning talk show Today on NBC.
Prior to joining NBC News in 2014, Hallie worked in Salisbury, Maryland; Dover, Delaware; New Haven, Connecticut; Hartford, Connecticut; and Baltimore, Maryland.
Jackson began his journalism career at WBOC-TV in Salisbury, Maryland, and Dover, Delaware in 2006, where he worked for two years. In 2012, he moved to Hearst Corporation where he reported for 26 stations in Washington D.C. He later became a reporter and journalist for NBC in 2014. Additionally, he covered Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign for the network as an embedded reporter.
Additionally, in late summer 2016, Hallie began to anchor the 1 PM ET issue on MSNBC Live, NBC News’ daytime coverage platforms. In January 2017, NBC named her as a White House correspondent. As of now, she still serves as the chief White House correspondent for NBC News. She also hosts the show live with MSNBC News Today.
