Pat Bolland biography
Pat Bolland is an American television personality, media consultant and lacrosse coach. Bolland currently hosts The Just Word podcasts, which cover topics related to finance, investing and business.
He is a former Business News Network (BNN) presenter on the Canadian financial news network, joining in 2004, and has presented at various times Trading Days with Pat Bolland, Market Morning. In July 2010, it was Bolland’s last day on the air on BNN. Pat then joined Sun-News Networking in 2011 as a co-host of The Roundtable along with Alex Pierson and Andrea Slobodian until its closure on February 13, 2015.
Previously, he was aerial editor for CNBC, launching after-hours coverage in 1999 and moving to morning shows later, before joining BNN. Bolland has acted in a variety of roles and has hosted various shows and segments for CNBC. In addition, he also served on CBC, as host of CBC Morning and being the business editor of CBC Newsworld. Pat also created and hosted Investors On-Line, a nationally distributed TV show: he hosted the Canada Business Report, a daily radio show, and wrote an investing column for American Online.
Before Bolland became a broadcaster, he spent a decade in the Canadian investment industry, starting as a telephone attendant at TSX at McLeod, Young and Weir, rising to the role of Vice President of Institutional Trading at ScotiaMcLeod. Pat is a fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute. Furthermore, he appeared in Corner Gas and Made in Canada.
