Rachel Anderson is an American journalist who currently works as a reporter, producer and weekend anchor at ABC7 since joining the station in September 2019. Anderson arrives at ABC7 from the WVVA. It was at this same station that she began her career as a reporter before graduating in 2018.
In college, she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and co-host of VTTV. VTTV is a student-run television station on campus. Although she was an active participant in many campus events, her favorite memories at Virginia Tech were her experience as the university’s mascot, the Hokie Bird.
Anderson grew up near Virginia Beach, but Blackburg will always have a special place in his heart. When she is off duty, she spends time with her dog, Benny, and tries out new places to eat.
