Julianne Pelusi is an American multi-professional sports journalist currently working at WGRZ. Prior to joining WGRZ, Pelusi spent six years as a weekend anchor/sports reporter on WTOV-TV in Steubenville, Ohio.
Julianne is a proud graduate of the University of Marylandwith a degree in broadcast journalism from the Philip Merrill College of Journalism, and is still a passionate fan of Terps.
She started her career as a talk show host on WMUC Sports Radio in College Park, Maryland. At the station, Pelusi developed and co-hosted a weekly hour-long sports talk show, “Ladies Love Sports.”
In August 2012, she joined Terps TV in College Park as a cameraman. However, after spending 10 months at the station, Julianne moved to Washington DC to work as a sports and news intern at WTOP News.
His next move was to Metro Networks in Washington DC, where he worked as a sports reporter. In the season, Pelusi covered Washington Nationals, Washington Redskins and Baltimore Orioles. She spent 10 months at the station before moving to Ohio.
In Ohio, Julianne joined the Sinclair Broadcast Group as a sports anchor. She produced, wrote, filmed, edited and anchored daily sports broadcasts. She also led Ohio State Football coverage and covered the Pittsburgh Penguins’ Stanley Cup races in 2016 and 2017.
