Dan Bilzerian Early life, family and education

He was born in Tampa, Florida, on December 7, 1980, the son of corporate takeover expert Paul Bilzerian, his father, and Terri Steffen, his mother. He is the brother of Adam Bilzerian, who is also a poker player. Through his father, he is of half-Armenian descent. His father was a Wall Street robber who set up trust funds for each of his children.

In 1999, he enlisted in the Navy. After completing two grueling weeks of SEAL training in 2000, he was kicked out of the program a few weeks before graduation due to a disagreement with one of his administrators.

He claims he majored in Business and Criminology at the University of Florida for four years, but it is unclear if he ever graduated.
