Tucker Carlson is a conservative TV presenter and political commentator from America. Since 2016, he has anchored the late-night political talk show Carlson Tonight on Fox News.
His father moved Tucker and his brother to La Jolla, California when Carlson was in first grade and raised them there. Carlson participated La Jolla Country Day School in La Jolla and grew up in a home overlooking the Tennis Club and La Jolla Beach.
Carlson was briefly enrolled in Switzerland’s College du Leman, a boarding school, but claims he was “kicked out” at St. George’s Academy, a boarding school in Middletown, Rhode Island, he completed high school. So he went to Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, where he majored in History in 1991. After college, Carlson tried to join the Central Intelligence Agency, but his application was rejected and, with the help of his father, he decided to pursue a career in journalism.
In the 1990s, Carlson became a print writer, writing for The Weekly Standard. From 2000 to 2005, he was a commentator for CNN and co-host of the primetime news discussion show Crossfire for the network from 2001 to 2005. From 2005 to 2008, he would later host the evening show Tucker on MSNBC. Since 2009, he has been a political analyst for Fox News, appearing on various shows as a guest or guest presenter until the launch of his current show. Carlson co-founded and served as the original editor-in-chief of The Daily Caller, the conservative news and opinion website, in 2010 before selling his equity stake and leaving in 2020.
