Luke Macfarlane is a Canadian-American actor and former singer who is known for playing Scotty Wandell in the ABC television drama Brothers & Sisters. He is also famous for playing RAC agent D’avin Jaqobis in the space science fiction Killjoys and the romantic lead in several Hallmark Channel Christian films.
Born in London, Ontario, he attended London Central Secondary School. He later attended the Lester B. Pearson School for the Arts. He also studied theater at Julliard in New York. After his studies, he had an early role opposite Chia Nixon in Tanner on Tanner on the Sundance Channel.
Additionally, he landed lead roles in the 2005 FX series Over Time and the 2009 two-part miniseries Iron Road. To be honest, his first notable role was as Scotty Wandell in Brothers & Sisters. His other major television roles have included Jason Howell in the Canadian sitcom Satisfaction, Rick Lincoln in NBC’s The Night Shift and D’avin Jaqobis in Syfy’s Killjoys.
Switching to something else, he was one of four leads in Junenilia at the Playwrights Horizons Theater from November 14 to December 21, 2003. Additionally, he played the lead role in the American premiere of the play Where Do We Live. He also appeared with Jill Clayburgh and Hamish Linklater in the off-Broadway production of The Busy World is Hushed.
