Matthew Herchik is an award-winning American journalist who currently works as a multimedia journalist at WCMH-TV, NBC4 in Columbus. Prior to joining NBC4, he worked as the Head of the New Bern Bureau and Weekend Evening Anchor at WITN-TV in North Carolina.
Herchik attended Bishop Watterson High School and Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where he has always had a passion for working in sports. At the University, he majored in Sports and Business Management and gained experience working with various Bobcat athletic teams over the course of his four-year course.
After graduation, Matt worked for the Columbus Blue Jackets and Pittsburgh Pirates. He also maintains his own blog, EurOhio Sports, comparing stories and headlines in European football with those in major American sports.
