Chad McQueen is a famous American actor, film producer, martial artist, and race car, driver. As an actor and producer, he is also famous for projects like The Karate Kid (1984), The Karate Kid Part II (1986), and Yucatan. Chad is the only child of actor Steve McQueen.
From childhood, Chad was an avid enthusiast of automobiles, motorcycles and racing, interests he borrowed from his father Steve.
He started racing dirt bikes at the age of 9 and in three years he would win his class at the World Mini Grand Prix. He quickly progressed to motorsport, winning his first race: the Mini Le Man event, a children-only track created on the set of the 1971 Le Mans movie when McQueen was ten years old.
Before filming on this movie was completed, Chad enjoyed racing at triple-digit speeds on the straights just on his father’s lap behind the wheel of a Porsche 917. At age 12, he won his class at the World Mini Grand Prix.

Chad later had many other roles, including a role in the 1995 film New York Cop with Mira Sorvino and the action films Red Line as Jim and Ring of Death.
The superstar also worked as a producer, winning a Telly Award for his documentary Filming at Speed. He has appeared on a number of motorsport-related television shows, including Hot Rod TV and Celebrity Rides.

His professional racing career began at the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). Chad has so far competed in various types of races from Motocross to Baja 1000.
He joined Belgian motorsport legend Jacky Ickx and his daughter Vanina, driving a trio of Porsche 959s. This was a project sponsored by Porsche Motorsports for the 2004 Goodwood event. Likewise, in 2004 he qualified for the SCCA Runoffs, winning several events. He also finished 4th in the Westernesse Racing competition.
In January 2006, Chad was seriously injured in an accident at Daytona International Speedway while practicing for the 24 Hours of Daytona Sports Car race. He suffered a broken left lower limb, a couple of fractured vertebrae and multiple fractured ribs.
He later participated in the 2007 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona race to thank the doctors and track workers who saved his life during the accident. He later expressed his interest in becoming a team owner.
In November 2007, he returned to Daytona International Speedway and took the wheel of the Brumos 1975 Ecurie Escargot RSR, driving it at Porsche Rennsport Reunion III exhibitions.
In January 2010, he established McQueen Racing, LLC, a partnership with leaders in the motorcycle and custom car industries to develop limited-edition, high-performance custom cars, motorcycles and accessories.
