Stewart Ledbetter is an American journalist who currently works as an anchor and reporter for NBC5 News. Furthermore, he has a degree in economics from the University of Vermont. A reporter by nature, he edited his high school newspaper, volunteered at WRUV-FM as an economics student at the University of Vermont, and ended up as the station’s news director.
He later joined WJOY-AM and WQCR-FM in South Burlington, then Vermont’s top radio stations, and worked in the morning, anchoring 15 daily live newscasts. He joined NBC5 in 1984, working in the new Burlington office covering City Hall and later the Statehouse in Montpelier. Additionally, he became senior in 1987 covering the first camera-accessible Vermont murder trial.
