Laura Cavanaugh is an American journalist who currently works as an anchor, reporter and executive producer for San Diego Living on KFMB Stations. She is also recognized for her on-air work on “Wake Up San Diego” and “CW6 News in the Morning”.
Cavanaugh participated in the University of Michigan, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Spanish and graduated with Distinction. Later, in 2006, she obtained a Master of Arts in Communication and Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California.
Cavanaugh worked as a special projects producer on KOB December 4 from 1999 to 2004. In August 2005, she joined NBC News as a Date Line Reporter. However, she left the station in December 2005.
In addition, she was a field producer and news associate at ABC News from January 2006 to September 2006. Later, in June 2007, she joined KOBI TV NBC5 as an anchor and producer for the Morning Show, but left the station in June 2010.
In late June of the same year, she worked as an anchor and prime time reporter for California Oregon Broadcasting, Inc./NBC 5/fox 26. However, after a stint of 3 years and a month, she left the station in June. of 2013.
She then joined CW6-Bay City Television in November 2013 as an anchor and reporter, but left the station in November 2016. She currently works as a freelance journalist in freelance media and communications professional. Furthermore, she has been working as a presenter and executive producer at KFMB Stations since January 2018.
