Dave Aguilera, an Emmy Award-winning veteran American meteorologist born in Pueblo. Since 1993, he has worked at CBS4, where he is currently a meteorologist, anchor and reporter. Dave previously served as host and spokesperson for the Colorado Lottery before joining the station.
Having witnessed and reported on a variety of major weather catastrophes, from droughts and floods to blizzards and tornadoes, Dave understands how the weather has a profound impact on people. Since 1986, he has worked as a TV and radio presenter in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region.
He is probably most importantly an optimist, which is a nice quality to have when everyone blames him for bad weather. Dave joined CBS4 as a meteorologist in September 1993, achieving the goal he set for himself in college.
Each year, Dave dedicates a significant portion of his time to teaching thousands of primary school students across the Front Range. He encourages students to become Junior Time Watchers and become part of the CBS4 team.
Throughout the year, Dave participates in and hosts a variety of non-profit fundraising events. He believes that the community has given him so much and that this is his way of giving back.
Dave was recently inducted into the Pueblo South High School Hall of Fame for his contributions to broadcasting and community service.
His ambitions for the future are to work for CBS4. Living in Denver, which he considers the “best city in the country,” involves golfing in the summer, skiing in the winter, and coaching his children’s football and basketball teams.
