Jason Fielder is an American journalist who currently works as a sports anchor and reporter for WNEM-TV since November 2006. Additionally, he can be seen as an anchor and reporting on TV5 news.
A native of Michigan, Jason is from Saginaw Valley State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Communication. He later went to the SI Newhouse School of Public Communications in Syracuse, New York, where he graduated with a master’s degree in broadcast journalism. In addition, he interned at various broadcasters, including WEYI-TV 25 in Clio, where he spent most of his time in the newsroom. He also interned at WTOP Radio in Washington, where he covered major league baseball, and also interned at WKTV 2 in Uatacia.
After his internship, he began his career in Alpena, Michigan, where he worked for WBKB-TV as a weekday morning sports reporter and weekend morning sports anchor. He was later promoted to Director of Sports at the station. In addition, he volunteered for the MDA, co-hosting the Jerry Lewis Telethon on WBKB-TV for the entire local segment. Fielder also served as a celebrity auctioneer at Carabial Cabaret.
