Biography of Angelica Duria
Angelica Duria is a Filipino-American journalist who currently works as an anchor and reporter for WITI-TV FOX6 News based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States of America. She also serves as a co-host for Real Milwaukee and has been an anchor for the channel since June 2013.
Prior to her promotion, she worked as a reporter from October 2010 to June 2013. She was also a morning reporter for FOX6 Wakeup News. As a reporter for WakeUp News, she covered some of Wisconsin’s biggest news. These stories included the 2011 blizzard, the Packers’ path to the Superbowl, and the Sikh Temple shooting, among others.
In the winter of 2013, she covered a blizzard and her report “It’s Snowing and IT’S JUICE HERE” went viral. She says it was the most memorable moment of her career. She has since joined the studio as part of the FOX6 Wakeup anchor team.
A self-styled foodie, Angélica started a biweekly cooking segment at Real Milwaukee called “Dinner with Duria”. The show can be watched every day of the week from 16:30 to 22:00. Before coming to Wisconsin, she worked in Northern Arkansas for KHBS/KHOG/40/29 News.
Born in Chicago and raised in the western suburb of Elmwood Park, Angelica graduated Cum Laude from the University of Illinois. Furthermore, she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism. As a first-generation Filipino-American, she is a member of the Association of Asian-American Journalists.
