Daniel Berger is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He turned pro at age 20 in 2013 and won the FedEx St. Jude Classic in 2016 and 2017. He also won the Charles Schwab Challenge in 2020. Recently, in February 2021, he won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Born in Plantation, Florida, he grew up in Key Biscayne, Florida. He started playing golf at age 10 and began taking lessons from PGA Master Professional Kevin Perkins. Daniel also attended Perkins’ golf camp that summer and fell in love with golf.
At this age, he indicated to his father that he would like to become a professional golfer. He finished tied for 22nd in the US Kids International Championship, Boys, age 12, shooting rounds of 75, 79, and 75.
He later moved with his family to Jupiter, Florida where he had his first hole-in-one at age thirteen. Daniel graduated from William T. Dwyer High School in 2011. After high school, Daniel went on to play college golf at Florida State University in Tallahassee.
In 2013, he qualified for the Web.com Tour and played. He played four events and the following year finished T2 in the TPC Stonebrae Championship. Berger also ranked 15th in the season one Web.com Tour rankings.
