Jennifer Hammond is an American journalist who currently works as a sports reporter at FOX 2 News in Detroit, Michigan. Furthermore, she joined the station in November 1997. At the station, she has been in the field covering everything. This is from the NFL to the College World Series. She received two Emmy Awards for her ideal job as a sports journalist.
She attended and graduated from Seaholm High School in Birmingham, Alabama. There she broadcast the school’s morning announcements. She later attended Western Michigan University in 1988. There she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Communications.
She worked as a reporter, writer and producer at Sports Information WMU. She joined this station in September 1983. However, she left the station in April 1985 after she was offered a position on WQLR/WQSN Kalamazoo radio as an on-air personality and reporter. She worked here for 4 years and left in 1988.
In April 1989, she joined Shadow Traffic as a traffic reporter. Here she worked for 3 years and 10 months and left the station in January 1993. She also worked as a traffic reporter and sports anchor for the Chicagoland Television News. This was from January 1992 to June 1994.
In late June of the same year, she joined WDFN Sportsradio 1130 as a sports reporter. She worked here for 3 years and 5 months and left the network in November 1997. She currently works as a sports reporter for WJBK, FOX2 Detroit. That’s since she joined the station in 1997.
