Brittany Dionne is a renowned American journalist who currently works as a reporter and news anchor for WBRC Fox 6 News. Prior to joining Fox 6 News, Brittany worked as a reporter and anchor at First Coast News.
Brittany attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham and earned a BA in Mass Communication: Broadcast Journalism.
Brittany began her journalism career at ABC/FOX station WTVM News Leader 9 in Columbus, Georgia. She worked as a primary legal reporter and anchor in Columbus. She also covered Fort Benning, where she documented life at the post of our country’s heroes for hours on end.
Brittany joined the WBRC FOX6 News team in February 2019 as a reporter/anchor after working for First Coast News in Jacksonville, FL as a reporter and fill-in anchor.
Brittany covered the terrorist bombing at Orlando’s Pulse nightclub, Hurricane Michael and Hurricane Irma, and the disappearance of the freighter El Faro, which sank after navigating the path of Hurricane Joaquin while in the “Sun State.”
She was also part of the coverage that won the news team the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Regional Award for coverage of Hurricane Matthew in Jacksonville. Several of her team members have won Emmys for their coverage of the mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub as a result of their work.
