Greg Kelly is an American television presenter, currently hosting the Greg Kelly Reports, on Newsmax TV. Previously, he co-hosted Good Day New York on Fox 5 NY WNYW, alongside Rosanna Scotto between 2008 and 2017. He was also a co-host on Fox and Friends and a White House correspondent for Fox News. He is also a retired lieutenant colonel in the Marine Corps Reserve.
Kelly is originally from Garden City, New York. He graduated in Political Science from Fordham University. He worked as an on-air reporter for the WFUV while still at university.
Kelly began her career in journalism in the late 1990s, first serving as an anchor for ABC affiliate WIVT-TV’s morning news show in Binghamton, New York. On the network, he secured an exclusive interview with US President Bill Clinton. Greg later became a political reporter for NY1 in New York covering the 2001 mayoral campaign. He also provided extensive live reporting from Ground Zero on September 11, 2001.
Soon after, Kelly joined Fox News. He was an embedded reporter with the US Army’s 3rd Infantry Division, 2nd Brigade in 2003 during Operation Iraqi Freedom. In the operation, he received a small shrapnel in the face when a mortar shell exploded near him as he was crossing the Euphrates River.

On April 5, 2003, he was the first television journalist to broadcast live footage of US military forces arriving in Baghdad. Information Minister Muhammad Said al-Sahhaf (Baghdad Bob) was shown at one of his press conferences saying that Coalition forces were not in Baghdad, Fox News was showing, in split screen, reporter Greg riding a tank through the City. After two days, Kelly captured another exclusive during the assault on Saddam Hussein’s presidential palace.
In his reporting career, Kelly has been to Iraq several times, as well as Pakistan, Gaza, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
He hosted Good Day New York from 2008 to June 2012, when he was promoted to the 6pm and 10pm news on Fox 5. After the shift, David Price was chosen to replace him. On January 24, 2013, it was announced that Dave would be leaving Good Day New York and Kelly would return to host the show.
On September 29, 2017, Kelly left Good Day New York and was replaced by former WABC-TV anchor Lori Stokes. Additionally, in March 2021, Kelly joined WABC Radio Station in New York, hosting a daytime radio show.
Kelly is an officer in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. During his period of active military service from 1991-2000, Greg was an Av-8B Harrier Jump jet pilot assigned to Marine Attack Squadron 211, the “Avengers of Wake Island”. During his service, Kelly racked up more than 158 flawless carrier landings and flew over Iraq in Operation Southern Watch, enforcing the United Nations-imposed no-fly zone.
