Rob Hackford is an American multimedia journalist and weekend producer at WGRZ Channel 2 in Buffalo, New York. He joined Channel 2 in August 2020 after spending four years at WSTR in Syracuse, New York.
Hackford grew up in Orchard Park and attended Orchard Park College. After his graduation from Orchard Park, Rob became a student director of the WTOP 10-TV studio station and a resident assistant at University of Buffalo for a year. He was later transferred to SUNY Oswego.
Hackford returned to 2 On Your Side after interning at the station in 2013. In Syracuse, Rob served in various roles as a weekend morning anchor and was recognized multiple times by the regional Syracuse Press Club. He is now excited to be back home and looking forward to sharing stories with the residents.
