Lacey Evans is an American professional wrestler and former US Marine. She is best known for performing on SmackDown under the name Lacey Evans and is currently signed to WWE. She has been on maternity leave since February 2021.
Lacey went to school in Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, Florida. While serving as a US Marine, Evans worked as a military officer in a specialized unit for five years, starting at age 19. A sergeant introduced Evans to wrestling and invited her to a show. Lacey trained and then began her career on the independent circuit.
In 2016, Evans began working for WWE in its NXT developmental territory and participated in the inaugural Mae Young Classic. Furthermore, she had her first women’s title match but was defeated by Ember Moon. On January 4, 2018, Lacey kicked off the new year with a win over NXT rookie Aliyah.
Additionally, Evans feuded with Kairi Sane on NXT and debuted on Raw in December 2018. She also entered into a feud with Becky Lynch that culminated in a mixed tag team match at the Extreme Rules main event. She also participated in the opening round of the NXT Women’s Invitational, where she was defeated by Dakota Kai.
In May 2019, she spent the weekend at WWE Live events competing for the RAW Women’s Title currently held by Becky Lync. Evans fought for his Money In The Bank title and lost to Lynch. She also got the chance to compete for the RAW women’s title at WWE live events and pre-show dark matches on RAW against Becky Lynch. Furthermore, Lacey made her video game debut in the Rising Stars pack of downloadable characters for WWE 2K19.
