Katie Couric biography
Katie Couric is an American journalist, presenter and author, best known as a co-host of “Today” and also the first woman to single-handedly host the “CBS Evening News”. Anne is the founder of Katie Couric Media, a multimedia news and production company. Between 2013 and 2017, she was Yahoo’s global news anchor, having worked as a television presenter on all three major television networks in the United States.
Katherine began her career as a CNN assignment editor. Later, she joined NBC News from 1989 to 2006, then CBS News from 2006 to 2011 and then worked for ABC News from 2011 to 2014.
Couric attended Arlington Public Schools: Jamestown Elementary, Williamsburg Middle School and Yorktown High School. In high school, Katie worked as an intern at WAVA. Furthermore, she was a sister of the Delta Delta Delta fraternity while at the University of Virginia in 1975. She graduated in 1979 with a degree in American Studies.
Katie started working on various networks on a daily newspaper titled “The Cavalier Daily”. Furthermore, she started her career in ABC network as an assistant. Couric then went to work for NBC as a co-anchor of “Today”. Katie worked at NBC News from 1989 to 2006. Before appearing on “Today”, she began working as a weekend anchor on NBC Nightly News in 1989.
