Ben Miles is a renowned English actor, best known for his role as Patrick Maitland in the television comedy Coupling. He also appeared in several acclaimed Hollywood movies like “Ninja Assassin” and “Speed Racer”.
Ben was born in Wimbledon, London, her family moved to Ashover, Derbyshire, where she attended Tupton Hall School. While free, Ben continued acting in school productions. In an interview, he explained how he would spend his free time at a now-defunct record store in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He later joined the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Miles began his television career in the 1990s, playing supporting roles in films such as Zorro, Soldier, Is It Legal?, The Bill, and many others. In 2000, Ben played Robert Brown in Cold Feet and womanizer Patrick Maitland in the comedy series Coupling. This is a role he held until the series ended in 2004.
In 2004, he was cast as Charles Ryder in the BBC Radio production of Brideshead Revisited. The following year, he appeared in the 2005 BBC TV drama Mr. Harvey Lights to Candle, playing a teacher leading a group of rambunctious students on a day trip to Salisbury Cathedral.
