Joe Rogan biography
Joe Rogan is an American comedian, podcast host, mixed martial arts and UFC color commentator. He also tried acting and a television career as a presenter. Joe began his comedy career in August 1988 in Boston. He later moved to Los Angeles in 1994, signing an exclusive development deal with Disney. He has also appeared on several television shows, including Hardball and NewsRadio.
In 1997, Rogan began working for the Ultimate Fighting Championship as a commentator and interviewer. He made his first comedy special release in 2000. After becoming the host of Fear Factor in 2001, Joe put his comedy career on hold, resuming after the show ended in 2006.
In 2009, he launched his podcast show; The Joe Rogan Experience, a show that propelled him to stardom. The same year, Rogan hosted a short-lived CBS show, Game Show in My Head, which only aired for eight episodes. This show was produced by Ashton Kutcher.

In 2010, he was accused of content plagiarism and theft by comedian Dane Cook. A year later, he resumed his role as host of Fear Factor for its seventh and final season until 2012. He also played his first major film role, Gale, in the comedy film Zookeeper. In 2012, he played himself in Here Comes the Boom, an action comedy film with Kelvin James.
In December 2009, Rogan launched a free podcast with his friend and fellow comedian Brian Redban. In August, the podcast was named The Joe Rogan Experience, making it onto iTunes’ Top 100 Podcasts list. In 2011, it was picked up by SiriusXM Satellite Radio.
On May 19, 2020, Joe announced that he had signed a one-year licensing agreement with Spotify, a $100 million deal. This will allow The Joe Rogan Experience to be available on Spotify from September 1, 2020 and from January 2021, exclusive to the platform.
