Ross Lord is a Canadian journalist who is currently a Senior Digital Broadcasting Journalist and Global Nations Atlantic correspondent based in Halifax. He joined the media business in 1984 after realizing it could be better than a “real job”.
After a 6 year stint in radio and sports news, he switched to covering courtroom and legislature beats for MITV in Nova Scotia. Since joining Global National in 1998, he has covered a wide range of stories in the four East Coast provinces. He covered food, fire, fossils, snowstorms, submarines, shopping, etc.
Additionally, Ross covered the 60th anniversary of the D-Day landing in Normandy, Canada’s mission in Afghanistan, the aftermath of the terrible 2010 Haiti earthquake, and the NHL’s blockade of New York.
