Caryn Lieberman is a Canadian journalist who is currently the Senior Digital Broadcast Journalist for Global News Toronto. She is also an award-winning journalist who loves her work and is passionate about it.
She is a well-educated journalist studying Journalism and Communication at Concordia University graduating in 2001. She went on to study Broadcast Journalism at the Poynter Institute graduating in 2009. In 2015 she studied Multimedia Journalism at the same institution.
After graduating from Concordia University, she joined the Global News team in Montreal as a reporter and presenter before moving to CTV as a copywriter in 2007. While there, she received the LA Press Club award for best coverage of hard news. of the 2008 California wildfires.
Later, in 2008, she joined CP24 in Toronto, Canada as a breaking news reporter and producer. She worked here for a while before moving to Sun News Network in 2011 to host her own national news show, Right Now with Caryn Lieberman. She also got the chance to report tough news for the network in 2014 before becoming a crime and court reporter for Global News Toronto.
Her experience with Global News Toronto has been healthy as she has covered everything from the traffic accident that killed three children and their grandfather, the Younge Street Van attack and Danforth Shooting, among other stores that have made national and international headlines. . Additionally, she reported on the front lines of the battle against COVID-19 and had the chance to interview healthcare workers in intensive care units.
