Biography of Jonathan Majors
Jonathan Majors is an American actor who rose to prominence after starring in the independent feature film The Last Black Man in San Francisco (2019). The following year, he became even more popular for playing Atticus Freeman in Lovecraft Country, and in 2021, he began starring in Loki. Majors also starred in The Harder They Fall (2021) and portrayed Jesse Brown in Devolution (2022).
Born in Lompoc, California, he attended Cedar High School. He later attended and graduated from Duncanville High School in 2008. As a teenager, he faced numerous struggles but never gave up. Majors was arrested for shoplifting, suspended from high school for getting into a fight, and at one point lived in his car while working two jobs to make ends meet.
He later found a theater where he honed his acting skills. He also studied at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts where he earned his bachelor’s degree. Furthermore, he attended the Yale School of Drama where he graduated with an MFA degree in 2016. Still here, he landed a role in the ABC miniseries When We Rise. After that role, Majors rose to national and international glory where it is today. He is set to appear as Damien “Dame” Anderson in Creed III (2023).
