Shameik Moore is an American actor, singer and rapper famous for voicing Miles Morales in the film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and its upcoming sequels. Born in Atlanta, he attended Druid Hills High School.
He started out with small roles on shows like Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, Reed Between the Lines and Joyful Noise. In 2013, Moore had his first leading television role in the sketch comedy series Incredible Crew, which aired on Cartoon Network before its cancellation after one season.
Moore gained recognition with his portrayal of Malcolm in the 2015 film Dope, which premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. Indiewire later included him in their list of “Top 12 Highlights of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival” for her performance in the film.
Additionally, he is the fifth male lead in Sony Pictures Animation’s animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse. The film was released in December 2018. Moore is set to reprise his role as Miles in the film sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023). In 2019, he portrayed Raekwon of the Wu-Tang Clan in Wu-Tang: An American Saga.
