Hunter Schafer is an American actress, model, and LGBTQ rights activist who was listed by Teen Vogue on their “21 Under 21” list in 2017 following her activism against HB2. As an actress, she starred as Jules Vaughn in Euphoria (2019-present) and was also given the voice of Ruka Watanabe in the English dub of the anime Belle (2021). She is set to portray Tigris Snow in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (2023).
Born in Trenton, New Jersey, she was one of the energetic kids in high school. She even protested the Northern California Public Facilities Security and Privacy Act. She was included as a plaintiff in Carcano v. McCrory against the bill on April 21, 2016. In her senior year, she was a semifinalist in the United States Presidential Scholarship Program.
She made her acting debut as transgender high school student Jules Vaugh in Euphoria.
