David Otunga is an American actor and former professional wrestler known for spending time competing in the WWE Championship from 2008 to 2010. His most notable acting roles are in films and TV shows such as I Love New York 2 (2007) , General Hospital (2014), Criminal Minds (2017) and She-Hulk: Advocate (since 2022). Otunga also emerged as the number one runner in the first season of a professional wrestling competition known as NXT in 2010.
Otunga was born and raised by a Kenyan father and a European mother who lived in the suburbs of Elgin, Illinois. He grew up as an entrepreneur who always achieved whatever goal he set his mind to. Otunga attended and graduated from Larkin High School based in Illinois. He then joined the University of Illinois where he earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology. After his college graduation, David moved to New York City and worked as a laboratory manager at a popular university while advancing his studies. In 2006, David graduated with a law degree from Harvard Law School and joined one of America’s prestigious law firms called Sidley Austin.
