Shawn Kemp is an American basketball player who played for the Seattle SuperSonics, who drafted him in the first round of the 1989 NBA Draft.
Additionally, Kemp played in the National Basketball Association where he played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers, and Orlando Magic. Kemp was a six-time NBA All-star and a three-time member of the All NBA Second Team.
Furthermore, Shawn attended Concord High School in Elkhart, Indiana. He finished high school as Elkhart County’s all-time leading scorer and career owner at Concord. He held the single-game and single-season scoring records.
After his second season in the NBA, Kemp was nicknamed Reign Man after Kevin Calabro saw a poster with the name and thought it appropriate to add it to his radio broadcast.
