Jeff Wilke, an American business executive who has served as CEO of Amazon Worldwide Consumer since April 2016. He operates Amazon Stores, Prime Operations, technology, and marketing. He joined Amazon in 1999. Prior to that, he was vice president and general manager of pharmaceutical fine chemicals at AlliedSignal, also known as Honeywell.
He was set to retire in early 2021 after more than 20 years at the Seattle company. Dave Clark, Amazon’s senior vice president of worldwide operations, has played a prominent role in championing Amazon’s response to the Covid pandemic, making him his successor. The Amazon founder and CEO announced the move in an email on Friday morning, August 21.
He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Global Operations Leaders Program and graduated with an MBA and an MS in Chemical Engineering. He also holds a BSE degree in Chemical Engineering, Summa cum laude, from Princeton University.
