Stephanie Valle is an American journalist who currently works as a news anchor at KVIA-TV ABC7 at 5, 6, and 10 pm. She hosts a podcast, “Borderland Crimes” and is also the news operations manager. This eloquent journalist joined the station in 2001 and has been working there ever since.
Valle is a proud graduate of University of Texas in El Paso, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government.
Having been a part of ABC7 since 2001, Valle began as an intern at the station. This followed nearly a decade of serving as a morning anchor. She was then named News Operations Manager and anchor at ABC7 at 4 in March 2019. Additionally, she took on the role of lead co-anchor at ABC7 at 5, 6, and 10 in January 2020.
Valle originally served as executive producer and anchor of the area’s top-rated morning show, Good Morning El Paso, for five years. She then worked as a reporter for GMEP and anchor at ABC7 at Noon for a five-year stint prior to that.
She has covered a variety of news stories in the Borderland. These ranged from Pope Francis’ visit to Juarez to a day in the life of a teenager recovering from a traumatic accident that took the life of her brother. Her anchoring and reporting have been praised by the Texas Association of Press Broadcasters.
