Lorenzo Hall is an American journalist who currently works as a weekend evening anchor and reporter at WUSA 9. Prior to that, Lorenzo worked at WTIC-TV in Hartford, Connecticut as the main evening anchor.
His career began in high school, where he gained further exposure to journalism at KOMU-TV. He later earned a contract at WTVR-TV in Richmond, Virginia. He was a night reporter and anchor and also reported on the local newscaster’s wrongdoings.
He is a twice winner of the regional Edward R. Murrow Award and has eight Emmy Awards throughout his journalism career. He has also worked at KBIA-FM and KOMU-TV as a general assignment reporter.
In high school, his passion began on the Black Entertainment Television show, “Teen Summit,” as a “Posse Member.” Hall later attended the University of Missouri School of Journalism in Columbia, Missouri. He went on to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
For journalism internships, he visited France, Italy, Germany, and Belgium. He held an Emma L. Bowen Work Fellowship in Washington for four years during the summer and winter.
