Biography of Allison Langdon
Allison Langdon is an Australian television presenter, reporter, journalist and author. She currently hosts A Current Affair and hosts 60 Minutes. Previously, Longdon worked as a co-host of Today alongside Karl Stefanonic and Weekend Today. She is also an ambassador for RU Ok?, the Mirabel Foundation and the Gidget Foundation.
Furthermore, she was born and raised in Wollongong, New South Wales and attended Wauchope High School. There she often hosted Monday night radio shows on the local community radio station 2WAY FM. After high school, she attended MacKillop Senior College in Port Macquarie and later furthered her education at Charles Sturt University, where she studied journalism. While there, she also worked on the Australian Community Radio Network’s National Radio News service run by the CBAA.
Right after university, Allison started her journalism career at Nightline Network as a producer. In 2002, she joined National Nine News where she worked as a producer. She also worked on the newsroom for Nine’s Darwin and won the David Marchbank Award for Best New Journalist. While there, she also traveled to places like Mexico and East Timor and even covered the Northern Territory report.

Furthermore, she becomes the first Australian journalist on the ground after the Australian Embassy bombing in Jakarta. In late 2014, she took over the court rounds for the National Nine News and became a full-time reporter. In addition, Langdon also regularly appeared as a host on National Nine New in programs such as Morning Edition and Afternoon Edition. In 2007, she was selected to serve as a news presenter on Today, where she was later replaced by Georgie Gardner when she went on maternity leave.
In addition to her journalism career, Allison is also a self-published author called The Child Who Never Was released in 2008. The book tells the story of the murder of newborn baby Tegan Lane by her mother Keli Lane. While still working at Nine News Bulletins and Today, Langdon also worked as a senior reporter in the Sydney newsroom.
In 2011, he joined the Nine Network show 60 Minutes and became a reporter. Six years later, she served as the co-host of f Weekend Today, replacing Deborah Knight. She continued to work as a reporter on 60 Minutes, as well as a presenter for Nine News Sydney and Today. In January 2020, she worked alongside Karl Stefanovic on the Today show.
