Matt Teale biography
Matt Teale is an English journalist for ITV, Forces TV and Sky News. Teale returned to ITV News Central on February 2, 2012. Similarly, Matt appears on the British Forces Broadcasting Service and is one of the main anchors for the new service, Forces TV, which began broadcasting in June 2014.
In 2007, Teale received the prestigious Royal Television Society Award (Nations and Regions) “Sports Presenter of the Year”.
Teale has been with ITV in the Midlands since 1997. He is currently the main presenter of the evening news program in the East and West Midlands on Thursdays and Fridays. Furthermore, Matt also works as a freelancer for the British Forces Broadcasting Service and Sky News.
Teale graduated from University of Nottingham Trent University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Shortly thereafter, he began his career at ITV’s East Midlands news service before working for the Regional Programs Department as a researcher, director, producer and series producer on various regional and network programs.
Furthermore, in 2005, Matt joined the Central Independent Television sports team as a reporter based in Birmingham where he covered Central Tonight sports news alongside Sarah Jane Mee. In 2007, Teale covered his latest sports report for Central Tonight. He then moved on to work as a presenter at Setanta Sports News, which was formed by ITN. He worked there until the channel stopped broadcasting in June 2009.
Furthermore, Matt covered the first season of Indian Premier League cricket for Setanta Sports, as well as specialist boxing, cricket and mixed martial arts programs.
