Ikechukwu Eric Ahiauzu, also known as Ric Hassani, is a famous Nigerian singer, songwriter and musician. He is in league with Dare Art-Aade, Timi Dakolo and Chike. Eric rose to fame after releasing the song The African Gentleman, for which he received two nominations. Before that, he also collaborated with famous musicians like Olamide, Falz, Chike, Nasiru, Frankie Walter, Jeff Akoh, DBYZ and others.
Hassani was born and raised in Port Harcourt, Rivers States, Nigeria. He completed his basic education in his hometown before pursuing his studies in Economics at Covenant University. He also holds a master’s degree in energy economics from the University of Surrey in England. Ric started his professional career in 2013 playing piano and singing. He was named Hassani from a TV series he played. Furthermore, he was inspired by people like Justin Bieber, Sam Smith, and Chris Brown to continue singing.
