Chris Parente is an American entertainment anchor, reporter and presenter who currently co-hosts “Daybreak” on Channel 2 weekdays from 4:30am to 9am. He has been in the TV business for over 24 years. Before coming to Denver, he was the morning anchor of WAVE-TV in Louisville, Kentucky. Parente studied theater at Indiana University and obtained his improvisation training in Chicago’s famous “Second City”. He also appeared with Improv Troups at various festivals and shows.
Also, a highlight for him was presenting an hour of national television, replacing Regis Philbin on “Live with Regis & Kelly”. He was also asked to return to the show for a second time, as a reporter for their “Ambush Makeovers”. Parente has adopted Colorado as his second home and is currently performing in Denver with the “Queerbots,” a troupe he helped found.
