Biography of Deborah Takahara
Deborah Takahara is an American journalist who currently works as an anchor for FOX31 News and presents the 4pm, 7pm and 10pm news. As a reporter for KTVT-TV in Dallas, she saw firsthand the devastation left by Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita.
Takahara also traveled to Mexico to cover the border violence. After her education, she is a proud graduate of Fountain Valley High School. She later moved to the University of California where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Social Ecology and Business Management.
After her graduation, she began her broadcasting career in Fort Smith, Arkansas where she worked for KHBS-TV (ABC affiliate). Six months later, she was hired as a reporter by KATV-TV in Little Rock. After that, she was an anchor and reporter for KNDS-TV (an NBC affiliate) in San Diego. Deborah also worked for NBC, where she covered major West Coast events. Additionally, she is an award-winning journalist and received a regional Emmy for her coverage of an aviator’s return home 37 years after he was killed in action in Vietnam.
