Robbin Simmons is an American journalist who currently works at WSVN as a co-anchor of 7 News at 5, 6 and 10 on weekends. Simmons studied Italian during high school and college after falling in love with the language during a trip to Italy while still in high school. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of Iowa. She also holds a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
Robin has been an anchor and reporter for WDIV-TV in Detroit since 2004. Despite joining WDIV, she spent three years at WSVN as a general reporter before being elevated to Saturday morning weekend anchor.
