Kaley O’Kelley Biography
Kaley O’Kelley is an award-winning American journalist who currently works as an anchor and reporter at ABC15. She is fascinated by the challenge of television news relevance, connecting with people and the ever-evolving world of “new media”.
A graduate of Pepperdine Unversity, O’Kelley began her broadcasting career in high school. At age 17, she was chosen to host a television talk show in Los Angeles. The experience eventually led her to KYMA in Yuma. While there, she co-anchored the morning news and predicted the weather. She later went to work at KEYT, XETV San Diego and Phoenix to co-host Sonoran Living Live and forecast the weather for ABC15 Arizona. She then joined 3TV in Phoenix, where she was named Best News Personality in 2013 and 2014.
Regarding her career, she co-hosted “The Emmitt Zone” with the great Emmit Smith of the Dallas Cowboys. She also worked on The Weather Channel and Good Morning America Weekend. In 2015, she had the opportunity to host the CBS nightly news in Dallas/Fort Worth. She did, however, return to ABC15 Arizona in August 2018 to co-anchor the morning news.
Originally from East Wenatchee, Washington, she is a proud member of the Association of Native American Journalists. She is also a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. Also, on the weekends, she loves to ride her bike and explore places with her family.
