Courtney Bryant is an American journalist who is currently an anchor and night reporter for CBS affiliate KMOV in St. Louis, Missouri since January 2020. She is co-anchor of FOX 5 News at 5pm, 6pm and 10pm on weekdays. Previously, Bryant worked as an anchor and night reporter at KBAK, the CBS/FOX affiliate in Bakersfield, California.
Bryant is currently the nightly news anchor on FOX 5 Atlanta. Since she joined the station in January 2020, Courtney has covered many important stories for Atlanta and across the country. Most notably, she has covered the COVID-19 pandemic, the social unrest following the death of George Floyd, and the funeral of civil rights icon John Lewis.
Bryant grew up in Los Angeles and graduated from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California with a BA in Broadcast Journalism.
Prior to joining FOX 5 Atlanta, Bryant worked as an anchor and night reporter at KMOV, the CBS affiliate in St. Louis, Missouri. On the station, she had the opportunity to interview Missouri Governor Eric Greitens, who resigned after allegations of sexual misconduct and blackmail.
She also covered the 2016 presidential debate between President Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton at the University of Washington. This led to extended breaking news coverage of unrest throughout the area following the release of the St. Louis, Jason Stockley.
A week before the 2020 presidential election, Bryant received an exclusive one-on-one interview with then-presidential candidate Joe Biden.
Courtney is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. She is a philanthropist, having supported several causes including Relay for Life, The American Cancer Society and NAMI Walks, a benefit for the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
