Patrick Hammer is an American meteorologist who currently works at WGRZ-TV in Buffalo, New York, as the station’s chief meteorologist. Previously, Patrick worked at 5 Eyewitness News in Saint Paul. He also worked at KTVU-TV as a weekend weatherman in his hometown of San Francisco, California.
Hammer formed in University of Southern California with a BA in Urban Planning. He began his career in July 1996, working as Chief Meteorologist at NBC 24- KNVN-TV, Chico, California.
After serving for 4 years, Hammer moved to Albuquerque, Nex Mexico Area, to work as a morning weather forecaster at LIN Media/KRQE News. In April 2003, she joined KIRO-TV as a weekend weatherman in the Greater Seattle area.
Patrick also worked as a meteorologist with the US Nordic Ski Team from July 2006 to September 2009 in Minneapolis. At the same time, he worked for KSTP-TV as a morning and midday weather forecaster.
In January 2015, Hammer joined KARE 11 as a meteorologist, but left shortly after 3 months of service. He then joined WGRZ TV Channel 2 as a meteorologist in June 2015, where he currently serves as the station’s chief meteorologist.
