Shirin Rajaee is an Iranian-American journalist who currently works as a weekend news anchor and weekday reporter at KOVR, the CBS affiliate in Sacramento, California. Most notably, she joined FOX 5 in January 2020. Born in Sacramento, she attended and graduated from Arcadia High School in 2000. She later joined the University of California, Los Angeles where she majored in Advertising. and Journalism in 2004.
After graduation, her career began at CNN’s Los Angeles office, where she reported on shows such as Larry King Live, Problems with Jane Velez-Michell, and Showbiz Tonight from 2008 to 2011. Persian Broadcasting Corporation as an entertainment presenter and producer, where she anchored your weekly calendar program.
She has also served as an anchor and reporter for KEYT, ABC’s affiliate in Santa Barabara, California, and KKFX and KCOY, the respective affiliates of Fox and CBS on the central coast of California.
