Barbara Gibbs is a veteran American journalist, television presenter and news anchor who currently serves as a morning and noon co-anchor on WTVD-TV ABC 11 Eyewitness News in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. Gibbs works alongside anchor John Cark Amber Rupinta and ABC11 AccuWeather meteorologist Don Schwenneker.
Barbara is from Memphis, Tennessee. However, her family moved a lot before settling in mobile Alabama, where she considers her home. Gibbs attended Auburn University in Alabama and majored in journalism and majored in sociology.
Gibbs worked as a morning anchor and reporter for WTVQ in Lexington, Kentucky. Afterwards, Barbara moved to Roanoke, Virginia, where she worked for WSLS-TV as a co-anchor of news 6 and 11 on Channel 10.
