Nicole Baker biography
Nicole Baker is an American journalist who currently works as an anchor at WJZ, where she co-hosts the 5pm and 7pm shows. Most notably, she joined the WJZ in 2018. Her passion for people and storytelling started at a young age. Also, her uncle convinced her to get into television increasing her love for the course.
Baker accepted her first on-air television job shortly before she passed away, where she anchored the morning news at the ABC affiliate in Savannah. While in Savannah, her investigative story exposing employee abuse and hiring led to significant changes. She did all of this before graduating with honors from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.
Later, she was elected to attend a graduate program in journalism at NYU. Furthermore, she is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and the National Association of Black Journalists. She currently co-hosts the WJZ shows in the early afternoon and at 5pm. She anchors next to Marty Bass.
