Aaron Drawhorn is an American Emmy-winning journalist who works as an anchor for KFDM 6 News alongside Tiffany Murphy.
Drawhorn started out in the Golden Triangle, where he edited his high school newspaper PN-G and competed in speeches, debates, journalism, and current event competitions at UIL meetings in Southeast Texas.
Drawhorn spent three years as a commercial real estate agent at a leading international brokerage specializing in office, retail and industrial property. He also spent ten years covering the world-famous Las Vega Strip, from historic casino explosions to mega-resort grand openings. He was also the station’s chief reporter on The arrest of OJ Simpson and 2007 conviction for kidnapping and armed robbery in a Las Vegas hotel room robbery.
Aaron won an Emmy Award for anchoring live news coverage of a dramatic rescue of a group of window washers from the 35th floor of the Vdara Hotel. He was also awarded a golden statue by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences which focuses on helping veterans who were struggling.
For school, Aaron attended the Port Neches-Groves Secondary School and later joined the International Programs at San Antoni University and Boston University, where he graduated.
