Gabriella Rusk Biography
Gabriella Rusk is an American journalist who currently works as a weekend sports anchor and sports reporter for NBC 15 News. Rusk joined NBC 15 News in September 2018 from TV-6 KWQC Sports.
Since then, Gabriella has covered everything from the NCAA DIII National Championships to the Iowa Hawkeyes and even the Chicago Cubs World Series Parade. She also reported on various breaking news, including reports on severe weather and historic flooding. Furthermore, Rusk was one of the first reporters at the scene of the Middleton workplace shooting.

Rusk graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University with a BA in Broadcast & Digital Journalism from the SI Newhouse School of Public Communications. In addition, she received a dual major in English and a major in Sports Management.
Gabriella did several internships while in college, including working for WSVN-TV in Miami for two summers. During the 2014 Sochi Winter Games, Gabriella was an intern at the NBC Sports Complex in Stamford, CT, and worked to produce content for the Olympics broadcasts.

When not working, Gabriella loves to give back to society in ways she is passionate about. She often volunteers her time with the Madison Reading Project, a non-profit organization dear to her as an avid reader. Also, Rusk is friends with Madison Libraries and likes to help out during the monthly book sales.
As part of her introduction to the NBC15 Share Your Holidays campaign, Rusk was inspired to volunteer with Second Harvest as part of the NRSSH team.
