Mary Ours is an American meteorologist who currently works as a full-time meteorologist at KDKA-TV. She joined KDKA-TV in October 2019. Ours comes to KDKA-TV from WJAC-TV in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, where she worked as a weather forecaster on weekdays in the morning and at noon. In her spare time, she loves to travel with her husband and children.
Mary grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from a local school. She later enrolled at Point Park University in 2008 where she majored in broadcast journalism. Mary then attended Mississippi State University, where she received her certificate in meteorology.
During her days at Mississippi State University, she interned at KDKA-TV and The Big Talker-FM. She then got her first taste of journalism in Ohio in November 2013. Ours was hired as a weather anchor and reporter at WTOV9, where she anchored weekend forecasts for two and a half years before leaving.
After leaving, she moved to Pennsylvania, where she was immediately hired as a weekend morning and midday weather forecaster at WJAC-TV. However, after serving on the station for some time, she left for a meteorologist position at KDKA-TV. Mary has been part of the KDKA-TV weather team ever since.
